Problems
Arming
If
your system will not arm, check to ensure that all protected
areas are secure (closed). Your AC/LOW BATTERY light will
indicate (ON) when your system is running on power or (OFF)
when it is running on your back-up battery. The back-up battery
will not sustain your system for more than 48 hours, please
contact us if power has resumed and if after 48 hours your
low battery light is still lit. It may need to be replaced,
the average life span of a panel battery is 4-5 years.
System
Not Ready
If
the system is not ready to be armed the READY indicator will
be OFF. On LED keypads the zone indicator lights will display
the zones which are currently not ready. The condition of
each zone indicator reflects what the status of each zone
is as follows:
ALARM:
Fast Blinking
BYPASS:Slow
blinking low intensity
TROUBLE:Slow
pulse
NOT
READY: Solid ON
The
LCD keypad will display the zone not ready
Check
the zone(s) indicated on your keypad to make certain that
your window(s), doors, etc. are closed.
Changing/Adding/Deleting
User Codes
Adding/Changing
User Codes:
Users
can be entered or modified directly through the keypad. You
may have up to six different users. User #1 is known as the
master user and is the only user allowed to modify other users.
To
add or change a user press CODE on the keypad, enter
your master code, press the number (1-6) to add or change
user # 1,2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, then press * and enter in
the 4 digit user code. If you are changing the master code
you will be pressing 1, if changing or adding user #5 and
our technicians have programmed this as a "maid code",
then user 5 will only be able to arm the system. If changing
or adding user #6 and our technicians have programmed this
as an ambush or duress code, please only use this code in
ambush or duress situations NOT as a code to arm and
disarm the system under normal conditions. Any error detected
during this process will cause the keypad to beep rapidly
four times. If an error is detected retry the entire command
procedures.
Deleting
User Codes:
Press
CODE on the keypad, enter your 4 digit master code, press
the user # (2-6) and then press *. (User number 1, the master
code cannot be deleted, it can be changed, however.
